By making a donation, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are a legally binding donation agreement (“Agreement”) between you (“Donor” or “You”) and Mairam Vosylienė (“Guru Mai Ram”).

 

By making a donation, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.

 

1. Subject Matter

 

1.1. This Agreement applies to donations made to Guru Mai Ram through the website www.mairamdivinegift.com (“Website”).

1.2. Guru Mai Ram collects donations to her bank account. A donation from Your bank account to Guru Mai Ram’s account is executed using Your bank card linked to Your bank account. To process bank card payments, Guru Mai Ram uses the services of payment service providers (e.g., banks, electronic money institutions, etc.) that help to transfer funds from Your bank account to Guru Mai Ram’s account. By donating, You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of these providers.

1.3. Donations are provided on a recurring basis. By providing Your bank card and other details (card number, your name, surname, etc.), You agree to make monthly donations and authorise the payment service provider acting for the benefit of Guru Mai Ram to charge Your provided payment method automatically.

1.4. You set up the monthly donation amount. 

​

1.5. You may cancel or modify recurring donations at any time by following the cancellation instructions on the Website. Changes will take effect in the next payment cycle.

 

2. Eligibility to Donate

 

2.1. Donations are accepted from individuals, companies, and organisations.

2.2. Donors who are natural persons must be at least 18 years old. By making a donation, You confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

​

2.3. You confirm that the funds donated belong to You or that You have full authorisation to make the donation.

 

3. Purpose of Donations

 

3.1. Guru Mai Ram collects donations to build and develop the Mai Ram Yoga temple and ashram in Varanasi, India.

​

3.2. Donations will be used for the purpose described above. However, Guru Mai Ram reserves the right to reallocate funds in similar areas if the original purpose is no longer viable or if excess funds are raised.

​

3.3. Donations do not entitle the Donor to any ownership, control, or financial interest in objects created or acquired using the donations.

 

4. Refund Policy

 

4.1. All donations are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by the applicable law.

4.2. If You believe there has been an error in processing Your donation, please contact Guru Mai Ram (see support contact details below) within 3 days of the transaction.

 

5. Taxes and Fees

 

5.1. Guru Mai Ram undertakes to declare the donations received to the tax authorities and pay the applicable taxes from the received funds.

5.2. If You are obliged to declare, calculate and/or pay any taxes on donated funds by the applicable law, You should do this yourself. However, if You need a receipt for Your donation, please contact Guru Mai Ram (see support contact details below) within 3 days of the transaction.

​

5.3. If the amount of Your donation is EUR 14,500 or higher, the applicable law requires the donor and the recipient to enter into a donation agreement before a notary. Therefore, if You are willing to donate the specified amount, contact Guru Mai Ram to arrange the agreement conclusion before a notary.

​

5.4. You may be charged by Your bank or payment provider for the execution of a donation, i.e. transferring funds from Your bank account to Guru Mai Ram’s bank account.

5.5. Donations are processed in EUR. If You donate in another currency, You are responsible for any exchange rate differences or additional fees charged by Your bank or payment provider.

 

6. Prohibited Activities

 

6.1. Donations must not be made using funds obtained through fraudulent, illegal or unethical means.

6.2. Guru Mai Ram reserves the right to reject or refund donations if they are deemed inappropriate, suspicious, or in violation of this Agreement or the applicable laws.

 

7. Privacy and Data Protection

 

7.1. Your personal information will be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy that is available on www.mairamdivinegift.com.

7.2. By making a donation, You agree to receive updates and communications related to Your donation, including receipts, progress reports, and impact stories. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

 

8. Intellectual Property and Content

 

8.1. All content on the Website, including text, images, and logos, is owned by or licensed to Guru Mai Ram may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without express permission.

8.2. Donors may not use the Website or its content for unauthorised commercial purposes.

 

9. Liability

 

9.1. Guru Mai Ram is not responsible for any technical failures, errors, or interruptions that may affect the processing of Your donation.

9.2. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Guru Mai Ram disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from Your use of the Website or Your donation.

 

10. Modification of the Agreement

 

10.1. Guru Mai Ram reserves the right to amend the Agreement at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Website. Significant changes will be communicated to You via email. Your continued donations constitute acceptance of the updated Agreement.

10.2. The amended version of the Agreement applies only to donations executed after the Agreement has been posted on the Website.

 

11. Termination of the Agreement

 

11.1. Guru Mai Ram or You may terminate this Agreement by cancelling recurring donations. Donations might be cancelled by following the instructions on the Website.

 

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

 

12.1. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

​

12.2. Any disputes arising from or related to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Lithuania, located in Vilnius.
